Frequently asked questions

Kippy is tour and event management for the people who run the show.

What is Kippy?

Kippy keeps a tour or event in one place: the schedule and day sheets, venues, hotels and travel, guestlists, shared documents, and the crew who work it. The Kippy app runs on iPhone and Android, and the same account works on the web at app.usekippy.com.

How do I get started?

Install the Kippy app on your iPhone or Android phone, or open app.usekippy.com, and create an account with your email and a password. In the app you can also continue with Apple or Google.

If an organization has invited you, accept the invitation and it appears in your list of organizations, with its schedule ready to read. To create an organization of your own, you need Kippy Plus; to invite a crew into it, Kippy Pro.

Is Kippy free?

Yes, for everyone who is invited. On Free you can read schedules and day sheets, open documents shared with you, request guestlist spots, and join every organization that invites you.

Three paid plans add tools, and each includes the one before it: Kippy Rider for stage plots saved to the cloud; Kippy Plus for crew, with your network, jobs, invoices and an organization of your own; and Kippy Pro for the people who run tours and bring a crew in. Rider is $7 a month, Plus $9.99 and Pro $24.99; see pricing.

How do I invite my team?

Inviting a crew needs Kippy Pro, and you need to be an owner or admin of the organization.

In the app, open the organization, tap the gear, choose Team Members, then Invite Member. On the web, open the organization’s Members page and choose Invite. Enter the person’s email, choose their role, and send. They’ll receive an invitation to join. Admins can invite members; only the organization’s owner can invite another admin.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password? and enter your email. We’ll send a link to set a new one. If it doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder or email support@usekippy.com.

If you signed up with Apple or Google, sign in with that same button. There is no Kippy password to reset.

How do I manage notifications?

In the app, open Profile, tap the gear for Settings, then choose Notification Preferences. Push Notifications turns them all on or off, and each kind, such as invitations, schedule changes and guestlist requests, has its own switch. You can also turn Kippy’s notifications off in your phone’s settings.

How do I delete my account and data?

From Settings, in the app or on the web, or by email. See Account & data deletion below for the steps and what happens next.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email support@usekippy.com with what happened (and a screenshot if you have one). Feature ideas are always welcome, and we read every message.

How do I change or cancel my subscription?

A plan bought in the iPhone or Android app is billed by Apple or Google, so you change or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. For any other billing question, email support@usekippy.com.

I got an invite. Now what?

Install the Kippy app on your iPhone or Android phone, or open app.usekippy.com, and sign up with the email address the invite was sent to. When you sign in, the invitation is waiting for you: tap Accept and the organization appears in your list with its schedule ready to read. You can also open the link in the invite email.

Joining is free. If you signed up with a different address, ask whoever invited you to send it to that one instead.

What time zone are the times in?

The local time where each thing happens. A show in Houston reads in Houston time, wherever you are when you look at it. A flight shows its departure in the time at the departure airport and its arrival in the time at the arrival airport, the same as your boarding pass. So nothing shifts when you land or when your phone changes zone.

Where do I buy a plan, and how do I restore it?

Kippy Plus and Kippy Pro can be bought in the iPhone or Android app, monthly or yearly, or monthly on the web at app.usekippy.com. The price is the same everywhere; see pricing. Kippy Rider is sold on the web.

On a new phone, or after reinstalling, sign in with the same Kippy account and your plan comes with it. If it doesn’t show up, open Settings, choose Account, and tap Restore Purchases.

Account & data deletion

You can delete your Kippy account and associated data at any time.

Delete your account

  1. In the app, open Profile, tap the gear for Settings, and choose Delete Account. On the web, sign in at app.usekippy.com, open Settings, and choose Delete Account under Danger Zone.
  2. Type DELETE to confirm.

Can’t sign in? Email support@usekippy.com from the address on your account and we’ll delete it for you.

What happens: Your account is closed straight away and you’re signed out. For 30 days it can be recovered: sign back in within that window, in the app or on the web, to get it back. After 30 days, Kippy erases your profile and personal details and the account can no longer sign in.

Schedule items and guestlist entries you added to an organization stay with that organization, no longer tied to your name, and documents you uploaded to an organization stay with it. Invoices you sent remain with the organization as accounting records. The details are in our Privacy Policy.

A plan bought in the app is not cancelled by deleting your account. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
